Dr. Kalvin Cline’s journey is one of the most unique stories in college football recruiting.
After playing just one year of high school football, Kalvin Cline earned a late scholarship opportunity to play at Virginia Tech under legendary Hall of Fame coach Frank Beamer. Despite being considered under-recruited and inexperienced, he went on to become a standout player and started as a true freshman in the ACC — an accomplishment very few athletes ever achieve.
While at Virginia Tech, Dr. Cline balanced Division I football while serving in the Corps of Cadets and participating in Army ROTC, all while completing his undergraduate degree in just three years.
After graduating early, he transferred to Texas A&M University as a graduate transfer, where he competed in the SEC under head coach Kevin Sumlin alongside future NFL stars including Myles Garrett and some of the top football talent in the country.
Kalvin Cline didn’t just make rosters at both schools — he made plays.
He scored touchdowns in both the ACC and the SEC after playing only one year of high school football — a path almost nobody in college football history has experienced.
Following his football career, Dr. Cline pursued doctoral studies in health science at Nova Southeastern University while also building a successful career in corporate sales and marketing, becoming a Presidents Club top performer.
That combination of elite college football experience, recruiting knowledge, athlete branding, digital marketing, sales psychology, and relationship building ultimately led to the creation of Full Ride University.
Today, Dr. Cline helps high school football athletes and families navigate recruiting through highlight tape development, coach outreach strategy, athlete branding, recruiting exposure, camp planning, and recruiting systems designed to help athletes create real opportunities at the next level.
Full Ride University was built to help overlooked athletes gain visibility, build relationships with coaches, and maximize recruiting opportunities — because Kalvin Cline lived that journey himself.

Helping athletes gain exposure to college coaches nationwide.

A strong highlight tape helps college coaches quickly evaluate your athlete’s skills, athleticism, and position fit. In many cases, your athlete’s film is the first thing coaches review during recruiting.
We recommend using game film, camp footage, offseason training clips, and position-specific reps that best showcase your athlete’s strengths and athletic ability.
Most football highlight tapes should stay between 3–5 minutes. Coaches want to evaluate athletes quickly, so showing your best plays early is extremely important.
Most highlight tape edits are completed within 48 hours so athletes can quickly begin outreach and exposure to college coaches.
